Vacation at Camp Arcadia
Alumnae and Friends of Arcadia have spent some of their summer vacation at Alumnae and Family Camp for more than 50 years. Each year, we are thrilled to welcome many returning Alumnae and Family campers as well as new guests!

Our guests include all types of families, groups and singles. Alumnae and Family Camp is a wonderful place for large multi-generational groups as there are activities and programming for all ages and plenty of space for all. Groups of Alumnae often join us as an opportunity to reconnect with each other and Arcadia. Single Alumna attend and find community with other Alumnae and Staff. Most groups include at least one Alumna or current camper, but we welcome all who are interested in an experience with limited technology and that is close to nature.

Alumnae and Family Camp provides the opportunity to spend time on Arcadia's 365+ acre property that includes woods, fields, a marsh with a Beaver Pond, and a mile of lake-front, including two beaches, on beautiful, clean Pleasant Lake. The program includes activities, group trips and events, and informal games. We also offer the opportunity for private lessons and customized programming. There is plenty of opportunity and space for quiet time, and the overall atmosphere is casual and friendly.

We offer family-style dining, including made-to-order breakfast, in our screened dining room. Most guests welcome the opportunity to eat lunch out-of-doors on picnic tables in our Pine Grove. We also offer cookouts, picnics, and a final Gala Dinner.

ENJOY A UNIQUE FAMILY ADVENTURE IN MAINE
After being out of touch with Arcadia for almost 35 years, I’m overjoyed to reconnect and have the awesome chance to bring my family to Alumnae and Family Camp.
Being back has rekindled my enormous love for this place. The happiest summers of my childhood happened here and I attribute my lifelong love of camping, backpacking, canoeing, and hiking to the skills and fun I gained while at Camp. It was great to bring my loved ones to experience some of the magic.
"It was so cool watching my daughter storm through the pine trees and try to sing along with camp songs. And it was super special to share a few days with my old bunkmates while our kids got to know each other in a place where they could explore the out-of-doors and new activities."
Program
We offer activities, informal games, nature walks, hiking and canoe trips, cookouts, evening programs and more. You can follow our Daily Schedule which leaves ample opportunity to participate in all of the offerings, arrange individual instruction or a trip or activity for your group, or enjoy reading on the beach or in a quiet place under the pine trees.

Activities
We offer the following Activities: Archery, Arts and Crafts, Boating, Canoeing, Kayaking, Open Water Swimming, Paddle-boarding, Pickle-ball, Sailing, Swimming, Tennis, and Weaving. Our Staff is available to teach you and your group the basics in all of the activities. We also offer the opportunity for private or small group lessons in most activities.

Trips and Outings
The Daily Schedule includes nature walks around Camp, including to our Beaver Pond, group paddles, open water swimming and cookouts. If you or your group is interested in a paddle, hike, cookout or overnight on Camp property, or in exploring Maine by hiking, paddling or sightseeing, our Staff will be happy to help you plan your outing.

Group Activities
We offer a Children's Program each morning during which our younger guests have the opportunity to explore most of our activities under the supervision of our Staff.

We offer optional opportunities to socialize with other guests and groups throughout the week. These opportunities are different each summer but in the recent past have included: a Pickle-ball Social, a Sailing Regatta, Field Games, Yoga, and an evening Campfire with games, songs and s'mores. Each evening prior to Supper, we invite everyone to pause and enjoy time together on the Main Lodge Porch and "Main Rock" during our Social Hour.

Games such as tetherball, outside ping pong, badminton, and board games are available at all times, and are particularly popular after meals and during Social Hour.

This is my seventh Alumnae and Family Camp. What a great place for a respite week! An old friend and I come with our grandsons and in previous summers, we brought our granddaughters. We hiked to the Beaver Pond an saw the Beaver Lodge and a huge heron nest, and went Sailing!
Quiet Time
With 356+ acres, a mile of lake-shore front and two beaches, there is ample opportunity for enjoying nature quietly whether you enjoy reading a book on the beach, walking or jogging on our paths through the pine trees, or sitting on your cabin porch.
